May 3rd. Already and only. The sunshine on my face as I’m writing this is a wonderful sign that things are winding down for the year. I just love seeing the sky light-up before 6 am. I also am all over getting up early to workout. Jocks had it right, there’s something about getting up and getting after it. I can’t believe I’m going to write this - I actually look forward to my morning workouts. That’s right. Yup. I did it. Just feels like you’ve went after it and now I have the whole day to chill and not worry about working out. Sure, there’s the whole tiring in the afternoon and needing to go to bed early, but honestly at this point in my life it’s probably the best thing for me. Nothing kills food and alcohol cravings like getting to sleep early. Can’t wait to do it this summer.
One thing I learned: I’m really trending on this no sugar thing again. It’s funny how it can easily slip back into your life when you let your guard down. Now that the sunshine is here, I’ll be more motivated to keep the sugar content down. Honestly, going to bed early and cutting out sugar have been godsends. Sure, it’s true you need to really think to recognize the benefits, but once they’re gone - you notice it. Fasting and eliminating the sugar and heavy carbs are the key to maintaining and even cutting my weight.
One piece of motivation: Fat shaming is not a thing. Yes it’s not nice to point and laugh at someone, but trying to help them by pointing out the FACTS is really important and necessary. Discipline = freedom. Just bare down and deal with it.
Three ideas: As mentioned yesterday, I should be able to totally leverage this opportunity with Apple. Just do a good job and hopefully good things will come of it.

3 x 15 sandbag burpee
3 x 10 bar jumps
3 x 10 DB clean and press
