Terrible sleep. Great workout. I can tell that the warm weather is here by the amount of sweat I’m generating. It definitely effects my ability to take extra reps, but I’m really not sure how I can counter it. Hand stand push-ups were tough today because my arms were aching. Keep at it though.
I think the heat is effecting my sleep as well. It’s strange to think that a couple degree rise in temperature can disrupt an entire night’s sleep. Again, I’m at a loss as to what to do about it. I’ll try melatonin tonight to see if I can stay asleep and minimize my liquid intake before bed.
One thing I learned: When I hit the fatigue wall this afternoon, I’m going to try and do some physical activity. I think Tim Ferriss said sprints, but that’s unlikely. Maybe push-ups in the back room or something. Slapping my body parts might help too. It’s a terrible feeling knowing that the fatigue is coming…fast.
One piece of motivation: Loved the line of thinking this morning about the x-country MIP. Quiet determination is the most underrated asset around. Showing up as a 9, 10 or 11 year old to x-country and working hard everyday is an award in and unto itself.
Three ideas: Having a look at the materials from Apple, I’ve notice that there’s nothing particularly revolutionary. It reminds me of just getting it done. The good news is that I could probably leverage this experience better than I originally imagined. One step at a time though, I’ll see how one of them goes and move on from there.
