Wow, what an awful night’s sleep. The worst part is that I have no idea why. I got to sleep pretty quickly but was really gassy and extremely hot. I maybe got 2-3 hours at most and that’s being generous. This afternoon is going to be tough. At least there’s baseball to look forward to and the morning is bright and sunny. Another crappy thing is that it’s only Thursday and there’s still a whole other day to go! At least next week is short and hopefully the weather picks up to make the cottage doable.
Throwing a ball - keep a loose grip. Find the seam before you throw. Point the ball away from you as you wind up. Throw from you back leg and follow through to your target. Simple mechanics, but might make all the difference in the world. Oh, practice helps too!
One thing I learned: There’s an important difference between pain and fatigue. When you stop, fatigue should immediately go away, if it doesn’t it’s pain. Never train through pain. When doing a handstand, keep the arms locked, the head between the shoulders and the toes pointed. By pointing the toes you engage your legs - they should be tight otherwise you’re ‘leaking’ energy.
One piece of motivation: Humans label goals as ‘easy’ or ‘hard’ when in reality there is a goal, the price that must be paid and the eyes watching from a distance. By labelling goals as easy or hard we marginalize them. Keep it simple and recognize the price that must be paid in order to achieve them.
Three ideas: Seems to be lots of traction for this gaming thing. I need to finish the other book and get onto gaming.
