Beautiful morning. It’s nice to see the sun beginning it’s journey at 5:20 when I get up. It certainly helps with the workouts. I was surprisingly sore this morning. I’m sure that pushing the envelope yesterday was the main reason, but the fatigue last night and soreness this morning were a little disappointing.
Yesterday was a decent day. I still notice that my patience is short and I really should be mindful about it. Time is quickly slipping by and this year will be over before I know it!
One thing I learned: Interesting podcast this morning about gymnastics training. Mobility seems to be a big issue. I get it, sort of. I feel like I’m pretty athletic, but lack a large range of motion. The problem is that I just don’t have a lot of time to work on mobility. I get my hour a day to workout and that’s it. Perhaps I could look at trying some stretches after work or while the kids are outdoors.
One piece of motivation: People love and desire the status quo. It’s safe and easy. Companies say they want interesting people, but what they really want is people who are great a listening and following. Artists have no place ini this environment because they risk failure at every turn.
Three ideas: So the dirty jobs dude has a podcast that is short. He finds interesting stories and unravels them. It’s about making ideas accessible. Most people have a good foundation, it’s all about getting them interested in a topic. This is a good idea for my presentation for apple. I can go in assuming that people eave a decent foundation, but need some motivation. Work on more stories!
