Well, answers were received. I have REM sleep apnea. I’m getting less than half the quality sleep that’s required and a CPAP was thrown into my life. Literally. I had a disastrous time with it last night. I felt like I was suffocating because the wind in my nose made it impossible to breathe out and each breath required a vast amount of effort. In some preliminary research, I’ve found that it’s possible that I need to adjust the pressure up or down and the heat/humidity. I certainly hope this is the fix because that amount of breathing effort is insane. There’s no possible way I can get a good night’s sleep with it. I kept it on for about 1.5 hours and even dosed off at one point. But eventually I couldn’t handle it so I ripped it off and threw it to the ground.
Since I went to bed so early and obviously had a lot on my mind, I got up at 5 and worked out. Once your body is in a routine, it’s very tough to break it. I felt great this morning and took my time to get through the workout. I suppose we called that a ‘de-load’ or ‘active recovery’ workout.

3 mins heavy bag
