3/8/16
Beautiful morning! Didn’t sleep well at all. I woke up at midnight and didn’t get back to sleep until at least 4 am, I think. Just tossing and turning and unable to sleep. Henry was up at 4 which woke me up and Melissa was just loud.
Didn’t workout this morning either. I kind of regret that. I’m sure by 2 pm I’ll be a little fatigued and will need to fire out a 10k. Hmm…too late now. Just get after it!
The last thing that made me grumpy was having to drop of Charlotte. It’s hard in the mornings if she doesn’t get out of bed.
One thing I learned: It may be understandable to delay an art project because of sickness or other major life event. Be warned: it is still resistance. Somewhere out there people with less and more stress are doing more art. Finding a way through the tough times is really the answer to overcoming resistance.
One piece of motivation: Nobody ever wants to do hard work. But those who fight through the resistance end up on top. You see, doing something is always better than doing nothing.
Three ideas: Write this book about entrepreneurship in the class and create a little mini-organization that helps kids with growing ideas and inventions. The key is to not be afraid of competition. Camps, workshops, speaking opportunities can all benefit kids who are future entrepreneurs. Bring Scully, Alfred (unemployed) and maybe Deepak into the fold and you’ve got yourself a diverse interesting core of people who can flush out ideas.
Book first. A new spin I have from yesterday is to make it about the classroom, but appeal it to business too. Maybe have some topics about business and entrepreneurship.
Workout:
10k outdoor run with some sprints, pull-ups and burpees.
