Middle of March already. Weather is getting warmer, on March Break - things are looking good. I have a couple of weeks to really get in shape here for Henry’s swimming lessons and Vancouver. I’m going to be diligent with my diet and try and cut sugar out completely. I relapsed yesterday and had some ice cream. That will be the last time that happens! I feel great on no sugar, low carbs and a good night’s sleep. Need to keep pushing through that front.
One thing I learned yesterday: Everyone tells themselves a story. Sometimes the art you create doesn’t have a story that matches with everyone. This is alright. The important thing is to make art. *I see where my book would fit in here. I’m not entirely sure that it’s going to get any traction at all, but I feel the muse calling and I need to make it. The good thing about my situation is that I’m in a good position. It’s not like I’m counting on this book or job idea to make or break my career. I’m still happy with my job and will continue to do it.
One piece of motivation: You simply cannot take rejection personally. People aren’t rejecting the person you are, they’re rejecting the story that you’re telling. This is extremely hard to do. Practice is the only the way to perfect this difficult challenge.
Three ideas: Revive Funology? Another way to exploit this book is to extend Funology as an entrepreneur program for kids. Perhaps a rebrand?
Workout:
3 x 10 (max) clean and press
3 x 20 (max) Kettle bell swings
3 x 30 double unders
3 x 10 heavy bag lift to box
