I think I’m getting sick! I was cramping up badly at hockey last night which was unusual and I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose and feeling a little under the weather. I’m not sure if they’re connected. My natural alarm went off at 5:18 am and I debated for a second whether to get out of bed and workout. I didn’t. It was for the best because I had a vivid dream so it likely means that I need to get some more sleep. I brought my workout stuff and the plan is to skip lunch today and get some exercise. It’s really going to be a game time decision. Taking a day off isn’t the worst thing in the world. Also, I should be able to workout Friday morning if I’m feeling up for it.
Today and tomorrow are going to suck, but once it’s over I can focus on March Break. Getting through these 2 grade 4 classes is a priority because it’s going to be difficult. Interviews always set themselves up as bad but never really are. I should use that as motivation. Not much else to report other than to keep to the path and focus on finishing the day!
Workout:
TBD, but if it happens I’ll focus on deadlift

Only one more week to go until March break! Got to bed early last night in an attempt to catch-up on some much needed sleep. I slept well other than waking up with an upset stomach around 1 am. I’m not one to notice medication or interventions work, but those yellow glasses did have something going on! My eyes were really tired by the time I went to sleep and I was able to sleep soundly for a while, maybe even the whole night had I not had stomach issues. Could be a placebo effect too. I’ll need to use them for at least 2+ weeks before I really can grasp their effectiveness.
Today’s plan is to keep working on the site, prepare for interviews and make sure that the 6s are ready to go for their project next week. I’m going to have a quick workout this morning since I missed Monday and am feeling pretty fresh. Won’t go hard on the cardio, just focus on the strength.
Workout:
20 mins on elliptical
3 x 10 back squat
3 x 15 tri pulls
3 x 10 pull-ups
3 x 10 leg press
*if additional time exists…Thrusters, bench press

Woah, what a weather change. Hot to windy cold. There was even snow on the ground this morning. Funny thing is that it’s likely climate change that’s causing this wacky unpredictable weather.
This morning’s workout was pretty good considering the fact that I went to bed later than normal and had alcohol in the system. Tonight I’m off the hooch and should be able to re-coup from a crappy (what I suspect) night’s sleep. My blue blockers will be in too - so that will be a great way to test them! With the loss of my prep yesterday I didn’t really get a chance to get any of my bucket list which includes uploading my video and writing a blog post. I also need to pay my doctors bill and perhaps make an appointment to see the family doc.
The goal for today is to get through it - I will be tired this afternoon. Also, I’d like to get that video up and start to review my book. I need to take a closer look into my Apple reminders too. I think they can be a useful tool.
Workout:
5k row
3 x 2 hard mins on bike
3 x 10 cleans
3 x 20 KB swings
3 x 10 one arm press
3 x 40 double unders

March is here! It’s 16C out today. Wow, what a difference from the last few years. It was so warm this morning that I struggled with my workout. The humidity combined with the temperature really does me in. I slogged through it though and am no worse for wear. Especially since I’m going to be sitting in a gym for a couple hours this morning.
I tried to lower the dose of melatonin last night with mixed results. I definitely don’t feel as groggy, but my sleep quality was much lower. I woke up when Melissa came to bed and had to use the washroom at around 12:30. I’ll need to keep watch over the next week or so. Tonight will be a mess because we’re going to the basketball game but from Thursday to Thursday should be a good test.
I didn’t get much in the way of work done yesterday because I was reading about The Hungry Brain on Reddit. Took up lots of my time. However, it wasn’t a futile effort because I was able to gain some pretty interesting insight into eating. Today will be difficult to process the video because it’s a long chapel.
Workout:
22 min run
3 x 500 row
30s hard on bike
3 x 10 clean and press (tried to focus on legs)
3 x 10 DB thrusters (good result)
3 x 10 bag lifts
